Administrative Assistance, Narrow River Preservation Association
NRPA is looking for volunteers to help with a variety of important organizational work including media relations (preparing press releases, writing articles about NRPA activities and about the River), newsletter development and editing and “manning” NRPA booths at summer festivals including the Wickford Art Festival and the Kingston Fair. Salt Ponds Water Quality Monitors -- Salt Ponds Coalition
The Salt Ponds Coalition (http://www.saltpondscoalition.org/) needs volunteer Pond Watchers to monitor water quality of Point Judith Pond. There is an initial training by Watershed Watch (http://www.uri.edu/ce/wq/ww/index.htm) in April, water sample collection, and some basic testing twice per month from May thru October.
